An Iron Man-like “smart suit” that benefits the wearer extra protection and superhuman strength. Do you guys think that is real? Well, it actually is, because a man named Lockheed Martin is working on just that, which is the HULC exoskeleton. According to http://entrepreneurs.about.com/, “a completely un-tethered, hydraulic-powered anthropomorphic exoskeleton that provides users with the ability to carry loads of up to 200 pounds for extended periods of time and over all terrains. Its flexible design allows for deep squats, crawls and upper-body lifting.”
A video showing the HULC exoskeleton and what it can do can be viewed here.
Overall, the HULC exoskeleton is a need for the future, due to its’ capability of carrying heavy loads that the soldiers have to carry with them, without the soldiers experiencing stress, mostly in high altitudes in thin air.
More information about the HULC exoskeleton can be found here.
